Kindness Cafe at the Y has a variety of coffee drinks and snacks. I got green tea plus vanilla Torani. Great customer service. Easy parking. Clean seating both inside and out.

Evening workouts here are energetic, almost like everyone is pushing each other without saying anything. I usually do cardio first, then weights, but treadmills are sometimes occupied so I wait a few minutes. Staff tries to manage rotation fairly. Music is loud enough to stay motivated but not distracting. One time the AC felt weak during peak rush, but it improved after they adjusted settings.

What a great place! 😁 The pool is so well maintained. The water is great. (And you can reserve half of a swim lane online — in case that helps.) The showers have soap dispensers! The whole Y is friendly.

Love the Y! The membership staff always greets you when you arrive, and they are so friendly. The indoor walking track is nice, and the facility is always clean and kept up with. The amount of natural lighting, along with the cafe, also makes this space a great place to get work done. I definitely recommend getting a membership if you want to build a community in Charlottesville or if you have children, because Stay and Play is also a plus!

I love, love, love the YMCA! It’s always clean, the staff is courteous and responsive, and it’s just a great place to relax and work out. I want to shout out all the front desk staff in particular - they’re all so nice and always put a smile on my face. I hope they know how much they are appreciated!
